INTRODUCTION

If you’re reading this then you’ve already learned something…. That you are ready to shake things up, to change the game and gain some knowledge, insight and skills on how to get to where you want to go. What better way then to dive into the heart of it right here in Hollywood. So, good for you and thank you for showing interest in my work. Here's what I’m all about and how I got into this job.

I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. I was working in the Nightclub industry years ago which brought me to Los Angeles where I excelled through the ranks of the companies I was working for. After 7 years of very long nights I felt something was missing. I needed to be my own boss. I needed to do something that mattered and something I could leave behind and be proud of. I´ve always been a very creative and artistic person and was very much into art and design. I loved photography but knew nothing about it. So without any formal training or lessons I decided to buy a camera and experiment on my girlfriend at the time.

From there I somehow stumbled into some “interesting” PHOTOgraphy jobs and event- ually landing as an entry level PHOTO-grapher for playboy.com. From 2006-2017 I worked my ASS off coming up through the ranks of the company. Starting at THE on- line division, to special edition Magazines in Chicago and eventually landing at the Mothership of the company, Playboy Mag- azine Los Angeles where I was Senior Con- tributing PHOTOgrapher for the last 3 years working closely with hugh hefner. During that time and until this VERY day I´ve worked hard developing my skills and my own style shooting countless Global Commercial fashion and swim campaigns. Most notably Guess Jeans Campaigns and Advertisements Globally.

I currently live in West Hollywood, CA along with my 2 dogs WHERE I own and operate an amazing Production and photo studio. Aside from photography I have a small obsession with Mid Century Modern Architecture and Furniture. I have an even larger obsession with Cars and Motorcycles. I love what I do, I´ll probably never retire.

from start to finish a photoshoot right in front of you AND Then you
will do it yourself! Why is this important? Why is this valuable? Because most of you, if not all of you have not experienced shooting at this level, with these top models.

You will see me delegate, communicate, execute and create LIVE! Everyone is capable of taking a great photo now and then but imagine 80-90% of your images being that good. imagine learning to be so confident you don’t even have to prepare before set. This is where I am and I wanT TO share these skills that I´ve spent YEARS acquiring with you. I wish someone offered this workshop for me 15 years ago, 10 years even.. Communication is so important in life. So much of photography is being able to communicate your vision to your model and your team. WHAT NOT TO EXPECT

MASS SHOOTOUT - This Workshop is not a mass shootout with a bunch of photographers bumping shoulders for half-decent snapshots of a model who isn’t sure where to look. Instead, you’ll shoot each model 1-on-1 and walk away with images that deserve your name alone!
Bad attitudes and negative energy. This is a collective effort to have to fun and gain knowledge of photography as a hobby and or business. I expect everyone to be respectful from photographers to models and have a great time!
Camera lessons. I expect you to know how your camera works and I expect you to have experience using it. This class is for semi to very experienced people wanting to take their photography to an elevated level.

FAQ

HOW MANY MODELS WILL I GET TO WORK WITH?
BOTH DAYS OF WORKSHOP EACH ATTENDEE WILL BE PLACED INTO GROUPS OF 3-4 (4 GROUPS TOTAL) EACH GROUP WILL BE TEAMED UP WITH A MODEL AND EACH MEMBER OF YOUR TEAM WILL SHOOT FOR 10-15 MINUTES UNINTERRUPTED. WHILE SHOOTING, STUDENTS CAN REQUEST ASSISTANCE FROM THE WORKSHOP ASSISTANTS, OTHER GROUP MEMBERS, GROUP MODERATOR OR JOSH (TO HELP WITH LIGHTING, REFLECTORS, CREATIVE, ETC.) JOSH WILL BE CONSTANTLY ROAMING THE PHOTO SESSIONS. AFTER ONE HOUR, EACH STUDENT WILL HAVE HAD A TURN AND THE GROUPS WILL ROTATE TO THE NEXT SHOOTING STATION WITH A DIFFERENT MODEL. BY THE END OF EACH DAY, EACH STUDENT WILL HAVE WORKED WITH AT LEAST 4 MODELS IN 4 DIFFERENT SETTINGS. PLEASE NOTE THE WORLD IS NOT PERFECT, CHALLENGES COME UP FROM TIME TO TIME AND WE CAN NOT PREDICT THE FUTURE. WE WILL DO OUR BEST TO MAKE SURE YOU SHOOT EVERYONE THAT IS AVAILABLE ACCORDING TO SCHEDULE
